Terms of Service

Last updated: October 4, 2026

These terms govern your use of SumOffice — the SumSheet, SumDoc and SumSlide editors, the SumOffice websites, the SumOffice for Google Drive app, the compatibility server and the developer libraries (together, the “Service”). The Service is provided by HEALTH INFORMATIC SECURITY SYSTEM, S.L., Av. Cibeles 1, Floor 9, 29014 Málaga, Spain, Tax ID ESB86739125 (“HISS”, “we”). By using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. Your files stay yours

You keep all rights to the documents, spreadsheets and presentations you open or create with the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content and we do not use it to train models or for advertising.

2. How the Service handles files

When you open a file through an integration (for example Google Drive, Nextcloud or your own server), the Service downloads it, holds it while you edit, and writes every save back to the same place. Files are not kept after the editing session ends, except temporary working copies needed to finish a save.

3. Accounts and access

Integrations use the sign-in and permissions of the system you open the file from. You are responsible for the accounts and devices you use, and for having the right to open and change the files you work on.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to break the law, to infringe other people’s rights, to spread malware, or to overload, probe or disrupt the Service or other users.

5. Free and paid use

Some parts of the Service are free. Use inside an organization may require a paid license, as described in Licensing. Prices and plans are shown before you pay.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features; for paid plans we will give reasonable notice of material changes.

7. Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is”, to the extent permitted by law. Keep your own backups of important files.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, HISS is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data or loss of profit. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including consumer rights.

9. Privacy

How we process personal data is described in our privacy notice.

10. Third-party services

Integrations connect to services run by others (for example Google). Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and remove an integration from the system where you installed it. We may suspend access that breaks these terms.

12. Law and courts

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Courts of Málaga, Spain, have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
