Privacy Policy — SumDoc and SumSheet
This policy covers the mobile applications. The sumoffice.com website is described separately on the Legal page.
Effective date: 5 September 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the Android applications SumDoc
(com.sumoffice.sumdoc) and SumSheet (com.sumoffice.sumsheet),
published by HEALTH INFORMATIC SECURITY SYSTEM, S.L. (“HISS”, “we”).
1. We do not collect personal data
The applications do not collect, store or process any personal data. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.
2. Your files stay on your device
SumDoc edits DOCX documents and SumSheet edits XLSX spreadsheets. All processing happens locally on your device. Your files are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. The mobile applications make no network requests at all. The desktop applications make none either, except for a problem report that you write and send yourself — see section 5.
3. No accounts
The applications require no account, no registration and no sign-in. We hold no user records.
4. Permissions
On mobile, the applications only read a file that you select yourself through the system file picker. No other data on your device is accessed. The published Android builds declare no permissions at all.
On macOS, the applications run in Apple's sandbox and can read and write only the files you open or save yourself. They additionally hold the network entitlement, which is used solely for the problem report described in section 5.
5. Problem reports on desktop (macOS)
The desktop applications have a Report a problem button. Nothing is sent unless you press Send in that window, and you can see and untick every part before sending.
If you send a report, it may include, according to what you leave ticked:
- the text you write yourself;
- environment details — the application version, the operating system version and the name of the open document;
- a screenshot of the document window — the page will be visible exactly as you see it;
- a recording of the last minute of interface activity — it shows the window as you saw it; typed text and clipboard contents are not recorded;
- the application's own logs and crash reports — logs of other programs and your documents are not included.
Reports go to our support desk and are used only to reproduce and fix the problem. They are not used for advertising, profiling or tracking, and they are not sold or shared with anyone else. The support desk is currently operated for us on a partner-managed host; we are moving it to our own infrastructure. If you would rather not send diagnostics, do not use the button — write to the address in section 13 instead.
The mobile applications have no such feature and send nothing.
6. No advertising, no in-app purchases
The applications contain no advertising, no advertising identifiers and no in-app purchases.
7. Third parties
Because no data is collected, no data is shared with, sold to or disclosed to any third party.
8. Children
The applications are general-purpose document and spreadsheet editors. They collect no data from anyone, including children.
9. If you write to us
If you contact us by e-mail, we use your message and address only to answer you.
10. Data deletion
We store no data about you, so there is nothing for us to delete. Documents you edit remain your own files in your own device storage and can be deleted by you at any time.
11. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD). As we hold no personal data from the applications, such a request would return nothing.
12. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
